Happy Halloween!

Halloween Eve: warming up to the idea of accessorizing ...
We made several stops in our fun-filled evening of trick or treating (or at least hanging out with those who are lucky enough to have moms who let them fill their bags with sugary treats). First stop - an event with Jane, Olivia and Maddie. It took Leila a while to adjust to the idea of being surrounded by kiddos dressed in festive costumes (you'll notice the progression of her expressions in these chronologically listed photos, from discomfort to uncertainty to acceptance to enjoyment).

Queen of the Wild Things?
OK, looking a little more regal now...

At the Visalia Montessori school's Halloween festival. Lots of fun games. Lots of good costumes.
Games...
... prizes

The night ended with a delicious cookie from Katia. Finally, Leila had her first dose of chocolate. And yes, she loved it. And then Max, the Queen of the Wild Things, showed us her true wild colors...

Great job on the costume, mom-of-the-year-award-deserving Niki! It looks awesome and it looks like you girls had loads of fun.

Leila, congrats on getting your mom to give you the choc. :)

I have to admit I was surprised she got to partake in the chocolate love. After seeing her reaction though, not sure if it was the best idea. :)
