We dyed our eggs with cabbage (blue eggs), beets (pinkish eggs), onion skins (orange eggs) and turmeric (yellow eggs). It was a fun experiment.
Then, Leila and I went over to Nana and Popo's house. We promptly decided to head out to Homer Ranch for a stroll while the weather was still dry. It was absolutely lovely. Leila is quite the confident adventuress and wildflower enthusiast!

We even spotted some Native American mortar holes.
Then Nana and Popo sent Leila on a great egg hunt. She proved herself a professional egg scout. She was soooo into the hunt. (I guess we found a new way to pass the rainy days.) Inside each of her 30-some eggs was a quarter, which she then added to her brand new piggy bank. "Tayntuu Nana, tayntuu Popo."

Great job on the eggs. Looks like the two of you had a great day.
